What Teachers Are Saying
“Jesse always displayed a natural talent for music and was able to convey this emotion to his audience. He was an amazing student and was able to pass on his love of music and his technique to others in the bands and ensembles in which he participated. I have never been so proud of one of my former students as when I heard him play for his final performance at the University of Western Ontario. His musical talent is exceptional.”
—Heather Wilcox
Music Educator, Halton Board of Education
“An exceptionally talented musician and truly remarkable pianist, Jesse is a very charismatic, warm, and engaging person with a genuine ability to connect with others. Young pianists will most certainly benefit from his many years of dedicated experience as a performer, educator, and coach. Learning from someone of his level of accomplishment and talent will be both an insightful and memorable experience. It is without a doubt that students working with Jesse will feel deeply motivated and nurtured in their exploration of music”
-Stephan Sylvestre
Associate Professor of Piano and Piano Division Coordinator, Western University
“The pursuit of musical excellence has been a major focus in Jesse cooney’s educational background. Having completed his undergraduate degree in honors piano performance at western in 2006, he furthered his pianistic skills in the masterclasses of Jean-Paul Sevilla in France. Sharing the excitement of learning music has always been his goal and he wishes to establish a program of music study that is for now virtual but eventually in real-time. Because Jesse has had so much success in several fields, he brings a unique perspective to the art and the possibilities of what music can mean to the lives of young people and adults of all ages. His pedagogical approach is tested and solid but at the same time, he loves a variety of musical challenges as you can see in his programs below. Jesse has had professional contact with the GGS in Toronto and other important schools so he is well acquainted with their exams and a variety of other structures. I am certain Jesse can infuse a genuine love and passion for our art in all his teaching.”
